Reflexology Therapy

Reflexology

Make YOURSELF a priority!

Conception & Fertility
Reflexology

Reflexology works based on the premise that by pressing one point you affect another point in the body. This underlying symmetry and connectedness reminds us that we have an infinitely sophisticated body
Experiencing issues with your (or your partner’s) fertility can be an extremely difficult and emotional time. Reflexology works on the basis that there are reflex points on the feet and hands which correspond to all of the different parts of the body, including reproductive organs and hormone producing glands.
Although reflexologists do not claim to cure infertility, treatments are incredibly calming and relaxing which may, in turn, help to balance the hormones that are fundamental to the optimum functioning of the reproductive system.

Pregnancy Test

Pregnancy & Maternity Reflexology

Reflexology is a wonderful therapy, which can be used safely during pregnancy and labour. It is best to wait until you are 12 weeks pregnant or more before you have a full treatment.  By using certain techniques, reflexology can relax the mother-to-be; enabling her to be in the best frame of mind for her journey through pregnancy and labour.
Having Maternity reflexology in the final stages of your pregnancy helps your body enter a deep state of relaxation and this can sometimes result in the spontaneous onset of labour, preventing the need for medical intervention. With the mother-to-be in a calm and relaxed state; baby feels safe, nurtured and ready to make his or her entrance to the world.
Each treatment is unique to you but will always include plenty of relaxation techniques. Reflexology is recommended throughout your pregnancy. The most beneficial programme would be as follows:
Trimester 1:
Relaxations techniques only.
A treatment every 2-4 weeks.
Trimester 2:
A treatment every 2-4 weeks.
Trimester III:
A treatment every 2 weeks, increasing to weekly treatments in the last week before the due date and beyond.

Peri/Menopause Support Reflexology

Reflexology is a wonderful therapy for aiding our journey through the menopause, experience the deep relaxation and healing benefits of reflexology and embark on a journey of self-discovery!
With all the changes happening to the body like mood swings, hot flushes, bladder control issues, itchy skin and coming to terms with getting older (plus the hundreds of other symptoms), it is not surprising women can experience low self-esteem and feelings of inadequacy.
The body responds to touch, which can facilitate healing on all levels.  So Reflexology at this time will help to regulate the peripheral nervous system, achieved by stimulating the pituitary gland, the hypothalamus and the thymus reflex points.
Let the healing touch of reflexology balance your energy and harmonize your body.

Reflexology for Pain & Chronic conditions

The key to health is to understand ourselves, enhancing our strengths and minimizing behaviours that drain our energy.

Reflexology can be used to help support a large number of clients with painful conditions. The treatment utilises body maps that are on the feet, hands, ears and face; each area mirrors specific organs and systems in the body.

Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Stiffness, sciatica, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, frozen shoulder, whiplash and sports injuries are some of the conditions that can respond well to treatment.  Reflexology stimulates the blood flow to the damaged region, facilitating the healing process. It also relieves tension in muscles that have gone into spasm and aides the relaxation of taut tendons and ligaments.  Once we locate the imbalance or issue, we can help the body release more endorphins (brain chemicals that block pain) and therefore bring deep relaxation and help the body restore itself quicker.

Your body holds amazing healing energy, when you increase the flow, it helps you heal. Reflexology increases your energy flow by stimulating nerves and encouraging blood flow through reflex points which are typically on your feet. Your feet spend a great deal of time covered and often don’t get enough circulation flowing due to tight fitting socks or shoes; caring for your feet through Reflexology can help you feel lighter on your feet and in your head, with renewed energy and zest for life!

Stress reduction, sleep and wellbeing Reflexology

We consist of a physical and emotional body; with a mind and spirit that are all interdependent.  Reflexology is not just for relaxing the physical body; it also relaxes the mind and soothes the emotions. However a relaxed body will encourage calm emotions, a serene mind, and an integrated spirit.

We all believe in the power of holidays, but few recognise that every time you step into one of our Reflexology sessions it's a mini holiday! You have taken this time to repair from deep inside yourself so that your physical body can ease back into balance.

Being stressed or just generally under the weather definitely has an effect on other areas of your life.  Reflexology could help to improve your sleeping patterns by providing a natural way to balance and relax the body. The therapy will help to clear away the stress and turmoil of everyday life, gradually increasing mental and physical clarity.

Like sleep difficulties; when the digestive system experiences imbalances, the whole body gets thrown off. Reflexology is a natural digestive aid that stimulates all the components of the digestive system and encourages parts to work in better harmony with each other.

There are so many benefits to Reflexology and it's completely natural!

The power of touch shouldn't be underestimated - it'll help you to reset and recharge, improving sleep, reducing pain and so much more.
